Viewing General Ledger Transaction Detail
I'm a newbie to BB so I'm probably asking a pretty basic question here. What I'd like to do is to view, on screen (without having to print), the detail transactions for an individual account for a give time period. Our accounts are listed as ##-####-## and I'd like to be able to put wild cards in the first two digits to see any account detail for the remaining account number. For example, account number for account number 4605-00 there may be 01-4605-00, 02-4605-00, 03-4605-00 etc. What I'd like to be able to do is to see the detail for 4605 regardless of how the first two digits are coded.
How can I do this?

You could achieve this with a transaction query. Use account code and the other segment pieces in criteria, but leave the fund number , or first segment off the criteria so it doesn't discriminate.

Also you could use filters on a General Ledger report as well. query formats will be less formal. For screen viewing may be better, but a thought.
