Fairly new to RENXT and need help pulling a mail list with ALL ACTIVE donors but EXCLUDING alumni from 2017-2021. We are doing a huge mail out and I am trying to figure out the best way to do this to ensure we capture everyone. Support was unable to help me. Not sure why my question is so confusing to them. Can anyone help this newbie? Thank you!

    Combining two lists might work: one list of active donors except all alumni and the second list of just alumni but exclude the years 2017-2021. You would add the second list to the first in NXT.

    Jolynn, first question, are your ‘active donors' coded in any way or are you pulling any records not marked as inactive with a gift on their record? The exact query criteria depends on how you define/pull active.

    I would start with this constituent query of ‘active donors’. You don't need any output other than what you might want just to spot check and ensure that it is pulling what you want.

    Then create a second constituent query of records with a gift date in your range of 2017-21. Set gift type or fund criteria as needed.

    Merge these two queries with ‘sub’ operator to remove from query 1 the records in query 2.

    Take this query to the Export function and there output all your address fields/data needed for your mailing.

    I would it exactly the same as JoAnn Strommen said. Merge 2 queries and run through export.
