Does anyone have experience they can share on how they managed rolling out the use of the web version vs the database version? Specifically, the different terminology in the two views and the different ways of doing things in both versions?

@Samantha Wylie I have always made it a simple choice. Pick the best tool for what you need. There are times when web view is the way to go, and times when database view is the only way to get what you need. Terminology changes are difficult, but if you have to define the term to someone, then you can just state that it's called something else in the other system.

We can't be so monolithic in our thinking that we think it's one or the other. How about we use both when we need to. Granted, I understand that these tools and applications can be daunting and overwhelming to the uninitiated, but I honestly think it's the way to go.

@Samantha Wylie I was somewhat “lucky” in that we went live just a couple of weeks before we all went home for Pandemic. So it was ideal to show my fundraisers NXT as an easier option for them when working from home. Since then, they just naturally have defaulted to NXT and database view tends to be used by those of us on the team who work in either gift management, lists, and finance, or my comms team who uses OLX. It can be a challenge for folks who “don't like change” but if you talk to them about where their challenges are, you can help demonstrate which version can make their lives a bit easier.
