This ought to be interesting. I plan on trying to catch them live, but will they be recorded for later playback @Crystal Bruce?

  • @Crystal Bruce Let us know where we can find the Town Hall July 9-10 links.

  • @Crystal Bruce
This really seems like a fast and furious timeline. It will be interesting to watch it all unfold.

  • @Crystal Bruce….just finishing up the live feed for NXT roadmap…exciting stuff! Even more than query - which I am excited to get my hands on - the CSV option for reports sounds GREAT!

  • @Crystal Bruce Looking forward to the new product updates, specifically those available in the Canadian market: Gift Management, Online Data Review; And Query … :)

@Crystal Bruce I'm happy to see standard reports coming to webview.

Just attended the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Product Update Briefing and can't tell you how excited I am to see Query and Reporting functionality coming to NXT! It makes moving away from the database view a LOT less scary!! I've been working in Raiser's Edge since 2008 and have been nervous about moving to RENXT - but, now that I see all the work that has gone into RENXT, I can't wait to make the move :-)

  • @Crystal Bruce The Query changes will be interesting, hope to see the process become more user-friendly.

    @Crystal Bruce
That Product Update Briefing was more interesting than some of the previous ones. My biggest takeaway is that it looks like they expect “full” capability in NXT by the end of 2025 and while we'll still have access to database view the implication was that it will go away sometime after that point… I'll need/want to try out some of the new functionality in queries and reporting once they're available before I'll feel comfortable with the transition. Disappointed that my question about the items on the Bio 2 tab (specifically “Religion”) not currently existing in NXT went unanswered.

  • @Crystal Bruce
Looking forward to trying out the gift batch grouping options.

  • @JoAnn Strommen That was a big one for me, too.

  • I am very excited to see the changes that are coming over the next 6 - 18 months. Gift Batch in web view will enable us to use the RENXT donation forms more effectively.

We are also interested in being part of the EAP for Query and Reporting.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'm glad they finally shared an anticipated transition date and actually gave demonstrations of how the new features will work. The pledge management feature looked familiar and I appreciate that since we have users that would have a serious challenge if it didn't look and feel like what they are familiar with. ‘m definitely looking forward to Query and Reporting moving to webview. They didn’t mention if this transition will eliminate the need for Citrix installations on workstations using webview only.

  • @Crystal Bruce I am the most excited that queries and reports are going to align with DB view. However, I would still like to know if defaults can be set up for manual gift entry similar to DB view when I use Shift F2.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'm super excited that Reports and Queries are going to have SKY APIs! As someone who just recently went to the NYC bbdevdays workshop- I know having query available is going to be the missing piece to my biggest Automation Wish List project of automating our complicated letter acknowledgement system. The fact that reports will be able to be scheduled will be a blessing for the issues I've been running into with Queue. I can't wait to get my hands on these pieces on the back end and play with the APIs!!?

  • @Crystal Bruce
I was almost going to retire, but now I want to stay and see the TWS in action. How exciting!

  • I'm interested, but nervous. I can't wrap my head around pledges in NXT. In RE7 we can enter a pledge and it gives an outstanding amount until it's paid. It seems in NXT there needs to be a payment or schedule.

Looking forward to more training, updates and discussion.

@Crystal Bruce Lots to be excited about for sure, but I can't wait to see the change in matching options for processing donors through RE NXT web forms. Reduce the number of duplicates and give end users the ability to manage the process! ?

  • @Crystal Bruce I was excited to see Tributes and Queries moving to NXT. It will be helpful for our Gift Managers to see the tribute information for an individual and total amount given. I am hoping that queries work the same as in database view.

Kudos 5 Fifth Anniversary Raiser's Edge NXT Fall 2025 Product Update Briefing Badge First Reply

@Crystal Bruce, the ability to automate pledge payments – eliminating the need to track each pledge on my calendar to remember to run the payment over 5 years — was a welcome update!

As others have said, I'm also excited about the improvements to webview gift batches and reporting. Our organization prefers all gifts to be entered via batch, so I still can't process pledge payments in webview, but hopefully that will come, too.

  • @Crystal Bruce A lot to do by end of 2025. Exciting though! Will be following with interest. Hoping to get on board with the EAP of query and exporting.

  • @Crystal Bruce was excited to see the rollout. Queries moving over will be a game changer and prob. my favorite part of the update :)

@Melody Penner & @Mark Bezanson - Make sure to reach out to your CSM (Customer Success Manager) and Account Rep and let them know your org is interested in participating in an EAP. I believe the Query EAP is already occurring, but the other two I haven't heard of yet.

For those that don't know an EAP is an early adaptor program; not only do you get early access to a new feature, you're able to provide feedback directly to BB developers to improve said feature before it goes ‘live’ to everyone else. It's a very rewarding experience.
