Eblast Tracking

Curious how others are tracking the various lists that a constituent might be on for eblasts. My organization currently builds different queries/lists based on constituency codes and/or giving history. But I am curious if anyone has utilized attributes for this or other code types.

Where do you send your eblasts from OLX, NXT or another platform?

We track which lists constituents are on by the downloaded information from OLX, which is stored within the Appeals tab. Once downloaded, we edit the Appeal Record's ID to match our naming format for appeals and within the Notes section we record the criteria for the email list.

I track e-blast communications in one of two ways. If I'm sending it through Online Express (OLX), I add the appeal through OLX stats. If it's a list outside of OLX, and it has an ask, then I still add an appeal. If it's a list outside of OLX and it does not have an ask, I add an action.

I can pull future lists based on either the actions or appeals. Good luck!
  • Hi Bridget Tanguay‍ ?,

We use a separate platform for email but all our segmentation for that platform's lists is done via RE query. Query criteria is on giving history, constituent codes, attributes or any combination of the three. Interest we capture through attributes.

We're starting to build out Opt-In/Opt Out tracking through solicit codes/Consent module, which we think will work well for subscription managements. Easy enough to incorporate into query criteria.
