What is the best way you have found to prepare contracts in advance and release them all at once. I would use the publish function, but it doesn't allow for setting a time of day and our administrators want it to start at a particular time. Currently, I keep the contracts inactive and then at the scheduled time, make them active. What have you found to be the best way to release them on a schedule?

  • @Candi Roberts Hi Candi! I assigned all of my returning students a contract template with a publish date of February 1st. On that day I am going to generate all of the returning templates. That way they will all publish within a few seconds of each other.

  • @Candi Roberts I do the same as Karen. I assign the contract types with a future publish date and then generate them once all the financial aid and such has been completed.

  • @Candi Roberts In my experience, keeping the contract forms on inactive and then getting everything generated and financial aid added, then toggling to active when they're ready to be released gives you the most control. Depending on the number of different contract types you have, using the contract generation as the trigger for releasing them is going to be more involved.

With decision imports you can specify a specific publish time along with the date but unfortunately this functionality doesn't exist for contracts yet (as far as I know).

  • @Candi Roberts
Ditto here. I publish them the same time as generating. One fell swoop

There is an idea in the bank to add a publish time if you'd all like to vote on it

  • Voted for it. [12 times ?].

In general, it'd be nice if everywhere a data is needed, a date and time were specifiable.
