Grades released early via previous year transcript access?
Maybe this is a known issue, but I just stumbled on to it today. If you haven't published your Sem 1 grades via transcript yet and have set the access date, go impersonate a student or parent and switch progress to previous year. Open Transcript and there are the unreleased grades. This seems like it is an issue? Anyone else confirm this or am I am doing something very wrong.

I recently noticed this, too, and removed ALL access years to transcripts while our teachers work to submit semester grades. The old transcript builder had its faults, but it would've been better for Blackbaud to enhance the existing transcript features rather than start over with a more faulty transcript. (Another frustration is that our school has had to completely change the way we enter summer school grades in order to get them to appear on the new transcript.)

Our Database Manager just saw this post and asked me to check this out. I can confirm that it is happening for us too. Yikes! This should definitely be addressed! I will take Kim's advice (thank you, Kim) and we will just have to set reminders to remove access to transcripts during every grading period. Not ideal.

Thanks, Brian. This is very frustrating for me as well. When I submitted a ticket the response was “In the past we have reviewed this and our developers have concluded that this is working as intended.”
Please, everyone vote on these 3 Ideas that Brian mentioned! They should be merged….
