Advice On Surveys

I am just wondering how others out there are handling collecting data from surveys for visitors/constituents/volunteers. We are a Botanical Garden and would like to be able to gather data on what our visitors think, etc. Since Altru has no built-in functionality for building surveys or aggregating responses, we would probably use Survey Monkey or the like. Just wondering if you use Altru to email your surveys and what functionality in Altru you find most useful for this type of thing?

    Hi Christine,

    We use appeals and mailing to do visitor surveys. We use Survey Monkey for the actual survey, but we have an appeal mailing that goes out at the end of the day thanks visitors and asks for feedback. We have a query for those who visited that day and have emails and at the end of the day, we run the mailing. We do this manually. I don't think we can set this up as a job in Altru to run overnight, but that would be really great if anyone knows how to do that.

    Thank you Tamara. Our CSM at Altru suggested the same setup! I very much appreciate your feedback. I will ask our CSM if there is a way to set this up as a job and get back to you. That would make sense!

    @Christine Lisi We also do reservation reminders the same way and our operations manager has to run it every evening.

    @Tamara Christensen I would have never thought to do reservation reminders this way! We currently do surveys and reminders through Social Good Software. It is nice because it runs automatically in the background or manually if we so choose.

    @Alyssa Nickel We just implemented Altru and are also using Social Good. When you send out your post visit surveys through Social Good, are you just including a link to a survey in Survey Monkey or something similar?
