On Demand: Product Update Briefings and the Future of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT®
Published
Didn't get a chance to attend the Raiser’s Edge NXT Product Update Briefing? Want to know what was discussed and highlighted? Now, you can catch what you missed and learn about the future of Raiser’s Edge NXT. Our focus remains on transforming Raiser’s Edge NXT into a "total web solution" (TWS), with a goal of having all popular workflows available in web view by June 2025 and all critical workflows in web view by the end of 2025.
One of the main topics we discussed in the Product Update Briefings is the importance of beginning your change management planning now to adopt Raiser’s Edge NXT web view features. This will help ensure a smooth transition for your team and minimize disruption. Start by planning updates to workflows processes, as well as policy and procedure documentation, to leverage more web view capabilities. Take time to familiarize yourself with web view and begin testing how your workflows will change. During this transition, you may need to work in both web view and database view as capabilities develop. By exploring web view today, rather than waiting, you have the option of working together with us to address any issues where features don't function as you expect or as you prefer.
What does this mean for the future of database view?
We have not yet set a date to phase out database view. Our current priority is to continue building out end-to-end workflows in web view and to assist you in adopting new functionality in web view to help you make a smooth transition.
Why are incomplete workflows being released in web view?
Our agile development methodology means we proceed in stages to build complete workflows in web view. We introduce new features once we have created a small but viable feature set, and then iterate on this feature set over time, sometimes quite rapidly. Some organizations find value in these limited features as we release them; the iterative approach also enables us to gather feedback as we build toward full-fledged web view capabilities.
How can I stay informed about the developments in web view?
We have created an informational page, The Future of Raiser’s Edge NXT, for current customers. This page receives regular updates to keep you informed about the development of web view. In-product documentation also showcases What's New in Raiser's Edge NXT as new capabilities are released. We also offer valuable educational opportunities through Blackbaud University and webinars, and interactive gatherings like town halls and success sessions.
The on-demand replays of our Product Update Briefings include enhancements released in the last six months, details of upcoming feature releases and exciting news about the future of Raiser’s Edge NXT.
