Login window wording - Email optional

Can we please revisit the discussion about the display text on the login screen?  The Username or Email statement above the field is REALLY REALLY messing up some of our "less-active-on-the-campus-pages" parents.   They keep entering their email address instead of their Username and this is creating a constant loop if requesting a password over and over and over. How can we compromise and have a choice as to it listing the word Email there??? pretty please!!!!!
