Activities enrollment

Each term (1,2,3) we offer activities (clubs) most activities require a new roster of kids. If we create the activity as having three trimesters, then the roster is carried forward and the activity remains on the registration page. This is confusing for the kids as they can choose clubs from term 1 and term 3 at the same time. We also cannot change the name of the section to reflect that it is a different term. If we create the activity with one term then we can't create a section that will show up in a new term. Is there any way to make this feature work? It should be easy; every term students have a limited selection of activities and the roster is clear. Suggestions?
