Power Automate Connection

Hi,


I was on the webinar a few weeks ago showcasing Power Automate and Power Apps with RE NXT. I would really like to set up a flow on Power Automate between MailChimp and RE NXT to manage Communication Preferences on RE constituent records and to dynamically update manage our subscriber lists (audiences) in MailChimp..


It's been a while since I've connected an app in NXT, but I believe I need the application ID for the Microsft app in NXT and a client ID to connect our environment. Where can I get these keys?


Secondly, even if I get the app set up, there are no triggers set up on the Blackbaud RE connector in Power Automate yet, whihc I beleive I'd need to update audiences in MailChimp based on RE NXT record changes. I'm new to all of this so not sure yet if I'm able to make a custom trigger myself?


Would love to hear from a Blackbaud employee or any client that's already tested this.

I know there's already an App for this because when I try to connect to my NXT environment from Power automate I get this pop-up



When I search available applications in NXT this app isn't available for me to add.


And alas, it looks like custom triggers can only be made on custom connectors. Seems like I'd be heading in the direction of making a mountain out of a molehill by trying to replicate the Blackbaud connector manually as a custom connector so I could have a trigger. Plus I don't *technically* know how to do that yet ?.


I am feeling some urgency because our MarComm dept is overwhelmed with managing all their MailChimp lists manually with import updates from RE exports, they're aware there are other products available that could automate this for them and would like to adopt one. But most if not all of the solutions cost much more than a Power Automate subscription would for us and Power Automate seems much more scalable organizationally because a lot of the applications we use are already established in the Automate connector marketplace. So if it's possible I'd rather get us up and running on this solution than use a different short term and have to switch over to this later.
