Information regarding Data from SKY API

Hello Everyone,


I hope all is well, and you all had a great week. I wanted to get some information regarding the SKY API Data. 


We have some students who are wanting to create an App that can communicate with blackbaud, and before we can give them the SKY API or anything else, we need to know what type of data can be pulled via the SKY API before we can even think about this.


So my questions are:


What does the API Data have for schools? Does it grab Marks, schedules, lunch menus, student's addresses, etc.. We basically do not want a specific group of students to have the keys to the kingdom with the API.


Is there a way to limit/filter the data taken from the API?


Can we monitor what data is taken?


I just wanted to know, as we haven't used the SKY API before. I thought It's best to ask the professionals here!
