Monitors/Pole Displays for the customers view

I am extremely disappointed that Altru is not compatible with any pole displays - the little line displays that show the item and total purchase price to the customer as they purchase items.  Altru support told me they are not pursuing that functionality at all.


It is a big problem for general accessibility as well as special needs accommodation at my institution.  Our lobby is loud at the best of times, so communicating that information visually is important, especially with hard of hearing, deaf, or distracted guests.  Add Plexiglass barriers and masks on everybody and keeping a safe distance and having a visual display of what people are buying and their total amount that the customer can see  is even more important.


Can anyone share what solutions they've been using?  Secondary mini monitors, screen mirroring apps, adding ipads as second displays?  Or do you all just shout at visitors three or four times until they understand or scribble notes on scrap paper?
