Can I sell tickets to a program in the Daily Sales page and have them receive the acknowledgement notification that is programmed in webforms for the same program?

I have a virtual tour program that guests can register for on our website in webforms that we want to be able to sell at the front desk. After payment for the program on the webform, guests receive an acknowledgement that has the details to sign into a zoom account and I wanted to know if that same information can be sent after a guest buys a ticket in person.

  • Hi Evan,

We recently added our Timed Ticket scheduled program to our Daily Sales page, but it is an in person program. As long as you've set up the buttons on your Daily Sales page, you should be able to send an emailed receipt to the guest. The only issue I see you having is the customization... At this time, I believe, Altru only has one email template for these receipts! So all your e-receipts would need to be uniform across the board. You cannot include merge fields in this receipt, unlike with Online purchase Acknowledgement ereceipts. You can hyperlink to your Zoom account or login information, but the links for each individual program would not be unique.

Sorry this isn't much of a solution! Good Luck!
  • Hi Evan,

You can send the acknowledgement letter if the person has purchased the tickets online. You cannot automatically do this if the person purchased through Daily Sales. Here is what we do: Go to the web link and purchase the tickets for the person online, as if you were them. Or manually send them the acknowledgement letter. Not the best solution, but it works.
  • In order for the person to receive the customized acknowledgement, they'll need to purchase online. As Vicki notes, you could also purchase them online on their behalf, but I'd let them know you're doing that if you do. Otherwise, you'll just want to email them after you complete the sale.

The new acknowledgement email update that you may have seen works in Advance Sales if you change the delivery method to eTickets, but it doesn't work in Daily Sales. Unfortunately, it also only works with the default acknowledgement email, no custom acknowledgements, so it's basically useless for any of us selling virtual programs with Zoom information.
