Trimester Scheduling

Is anyone else struggling with using BBK12 to schedule classes in a trimester setting? What we want to do is take student course requests, determine how many sections to offer, and then have the system place the blocks in the most advantageous configuration such that the maximum number of students enroll easily. We tried making the course requests All Terms last year, which was a complete fiasco. We tried this year having them sign up for certain trimesters more or less randomly, but that led to the same result. Are there any trimester high schools making this work?
