Two questions regarding Journal entries in FE NXT

Hello, I am new to Blackbaud FE NXT and my current position. During my training, I was told that you are not able to import and post Journal Entries in the web version of FE NXT. I have learned that not to be the case. Does anyone import large JEs from excel? If so how or where can I find instructions in doing so. And how to post all of it in web FE. Hope my question is clear? :-)

We use an Excel add-in called Journal Entry Batch Creator for Financial Edge NXT which you can find in the Marketplace.

If you're not using it, you might want to give it a try.


I'm not sure if there are tutorials available but it's pretty straightforward.

I import large batches in FE NXT. I use the Journal Entry Batch Creator for Financial Edge NXT, its one of the free APPs in Marketplace. They also have one for Budget that I use.

That is strange that you were told in training that you can't import JE in NXT. There is a lot of talk about the Excel Journal Entry Batch Creator. It defaults to allow 1000 lines, but you can expand it to allow for much more.
