Research request/ constituent update request forms?

Hello, I have recently started a new job as the Director of Advancement Services at a mid-size regional University and am now using Raisers Edge NXT, at my previous institution we were using Blackbaud CRM. I was curious if there was a function in NXT where development officers can request research on constituents or data updates on constituents and those requests be routed/ assigned to the necessary person (i.e. the prospects researcher or other people responsible for updating records). Currently they are sending requests by email, but I would like to move to a more centrally managed and easy to track request form if something like that exists in NXT already.

There's no form that I'm aware of like you're talking about, but I wonder if you could use actions for this? As long as you (or whomever needed) is marked as a solicitor/fundraiser, someone can assign tasks to you as actions, and there's room in the notes area to add details about what they want to be done.

Hi Joe,

I am the prospect researcher at our organization-we use actions like Heather mentioned below. The status we use is identification-it is actually a workflow we created that the gift officer can apply to the record so they don't have to create an action each time-they just click the workflow icon. It can also be applied to an entire list as well. Hope that helps.
