Creating a custom category in "actions" i.e. "Virtual Meeting"

Is it possible to add a custom category in the action report? Over the past year, DOs have been having a lot more virtual meetings, I would like to add “virtual meeting” as one of the categories so that when I pull action reports we can see virtual meetings compared to in person or phone meetings.

Hi Joseph - Unfortunately, it is not possible to create a new category, but you could add ‘Virtual’ to another available table within the action record: Type, Location, etc. You could also track this information through a custom field/attribute although custom fields do not currently show up on reporting within NXT, native or custom.

Hi Joseph! As Austen mentioned, I don't think you can create an entire new Category in Actions. My suggestion would be to add “Virtual” to the Action Type table. That way when you pull your Action Report, you can filter the report by the Main Category and then the Action Type/Sub-category. Hopefully this helps? Good luck!

We've dealt with this by putting “Online” as a location - it's still a meeting, it's just happening online for us.
