We just went live with NXT today. We used F9 in our old database version. It still works with NXT but we have some questions about accessing our files so we can F9 them. The way we are doing it seems like a lot of work we were wondering if there is someone else out there that uses NXT and F9 and if we could ask you a couple of questions about how you make it work.

We just switched to FE NXT on a hosting site. We have some questions regarding F9 and how to access our files. One of our accountants figured out a way to access the files, but it is very confusing and we are wondering if there is an easier way.

It's not currently working in NXT. How do you use it?

We click on the pancakes like we are heading towards logging into the database view. When it brings you to the screen labeled Citrix, there are two chooses -- database view icon or F9 icon and we click on F9. It sends us a file which we open and it is for a remote excel session. In order for F9 to work, you must be in the remote excel. The only way I can tell if I am in the remote excel session is to hover over the excel icon on the bottom tool bar and you can see the work remote, where a regular excel does not show that. In order to see our files on our network, Blackbaud support had to do something behind the scenes so it could see our network. Now we are able to see our files on our network, open them in the remote session, use F9, and save back to our network.

Does it mean that your database is on your server not on hosted environment by the Blackbaud?
