Covid-19 symptom and/or vaccination tracking

Is anyone using their Blackbaud tools for either Covid symptom tracking (ie. daily symptom check) or for tracking vaccination status? We used a 3rd-party product last year for symptom tracking, but obviously we'd like to keep things “in-house” as much as possible for both data health and to make it easy for parents/students to be compliant. If you've implemented any clever solutions during this time, I'd love to learn about them!

@Bryna Gleich , can you say more about how you're using Nurse's Office for Covid-specific stuff? I know we can mark the vaccination there, but it is only available to the nurse role, and I don't see any way to store additional info (eg. photo of vaccination record). The “immunizations requirements” function doesn't seem to translate to the medical contact card nor be available on the medical form we present to parents. Can't tell whether I'm just missing something, or … ? Would love any additional specific ideas you can share.

The limitation to the nurse's role is for HIPAA. The nurse may be able to use Medical Work lists to create a list of who has or hasn't been vaccinated.

It's likely easier to keep Medical School Forms (Content > School forms) HIPAA complaint.

If you upload images of vaccination cards to user profiles via “User Files & Forms” or “Core > System tools > Bulk upload” then they might not be HIPAA complaint. You'll need to consult with your school nurse and/or legal counsel to confirm.

I built a “Medical” form to collect COVID vaccination documents. here's a screenshot - short and sweet. This is in addition to our robust general medical form. We are a K-12 school so the Covid medical form was tied only to those students 12 y.o. and older prior to the start of school.
