NXT and Mailchimp users - current pulse?

Greetings RE community,

I've searched previous posts to see what I could find on integrating MailChimp (our current, non-integrated solution for emailing the folks we house in RE) with RE, but didn't see much from this year. Since Chimpegration has evolved to include 3 graduated tiers, I'm wondering if anyone has insight to share with the current options for that connection.

From what I can find (being new to RE and my organization), OLX is also an option we could enable as an emailing solution for NXT clients. If anyone was considering OLX or a Chimpegration, I'd love to hear what factored into your decision as well as how you're finding the experience for whichever path you took.

Hi Lindsay. We currently use MailChimp but do not have it integrated yet. However there are a couple of other integration options you have not mentioned - Omatic have a MailChimp RE integration with their new Omatic Cloud; and Red Arc have an Email Marketing Connector for NXT that can connect several programmes including MailChimp https://redarc.systems/email-marketing-connector/ . We have not used Online Express or NXT Email marketing because the merge fields available are severely limited and do not meet our needs for personalising emails.

Just to throw another one into the mix - we have SmartSYNC which not only deals with email marketing platforms but general file import/export and connections to loads of other apps - think Zapier/Workato built for and fully integrated with Blackbaud products…

We went down the path of integrating Raiser's Edge NXT with Chimpegration Cloud. It works well, but the 10,000 call limit on the Sky API limits the speed of the integration - e.g. if I send an email to 50,000 people and want to integrate it as an action against each of their records, that will take a few days to flow through.

Overall we've been happy with Chimpegration Cloud - the support staff have been very responsive, and the product is in active development, so problems and friction points do get addressed. But if you are sending a lot of Emails, be mindful that Sky API will slow things down.

Hello! I am looking into this myself. We currently have a HUGE list through MailChimp that we use for our monthly newsletter. I would like to try to either merge the lists and send the newsletter just through MailChimp, or do away with MailChimp and send only through RENXT. Does anyone know if either of those options work. If I merge those lists will it create profiles for every person in RENXT?
