No Security Option in Admin

When attempting to edit/enter new donor acknowledgement letters for December, I am having difficulty and one solution given via Knowledgebase is to go into Admin > Security--yet I am not even seeing Security, when I used to be able to…is there a reason for this? When I look at access in RENXT I am granted full access, but I still go the database route and that is where I have limited access to things and am wondering if someone could explain why this is--thanks!

  • Find somebody else who can see the Security module and have them check that you are still set to be an Admin or whatever you're supposed to be. If that doesn't solve it, I'd call BB support, although you might want to wait until tomorrow.

  • I agree with Heather. You have to have someone with Supervisor rights look at your rights in db view. It's my understanding that the admin rights in db view supercede what is set in NXT. So permissions are in essence controlled from the db view side of things. If you do indeed have admin rights you should also find out if you can also get the login to “supervisor” in db view. At my org, only myself and our IT admin have access to “supervisor”. That way, you can log in either as yourself or as supervisor in db view. It's helpful.
