Expense Management Update
Hi Everyone,
I am curious if others are having issues with Expense Management. Ever since the update a couple of weeks ago we have had issues with the system. We have found that Expense Management is closing out of invoices in the middle of entry, defaulting back to the default individual account codes even after being manually changed and saved in draft with updated account information. Credit card charges are coming through to approvers as invoice requests ect. I am honestly not even sure how to open a support ticket as many of our users are experiencing miscellaneous issues.

I'm really interested in heaing what the issues are with Expense Mgmt. I've thought it would be something we want to look at implementing, but I' concerned with all the issues that keep coming up in this community.

Yes! We are experiencing the same issues. When I submit a credit card transaction, sometimes it will revert back to unsubmitted and I have to submit again, it will change to an invoice request instead of a credit card charge, etc.

Yes! That is one of the many issues we have had! It is beginning to be very frustrating for our staff!

We are also having multiple miscellaneous issues with Expense Management. I've even had them record me processing to show what is happening. Still are having issues. I processed 7 invoices the other day and on the last one it just gave me an error that “Something went wrong, try again later”. For 2 days that was happening. I deleted it and went into the old Web Portal and entered it there. It went thru fine. Going on another call Friday to go over more info the team needs. I snipped them pictures of all the errors and we are not doing anything different. Not sure what else I can show them. Very frustrating.

Stay away from Financial Edge NXT. The regular database Financial Edge is great and so is the Web Portal for processing invoices and purchase orders. The only bad thing about Financial Edge database is it looks old. But it is very functional. The NXT version is terrible. It isn't functional when it does work and lately it hasn't been working. All kinds of bugs.

We are having too many issues since the update to list here. I have one open ticket that is mainly dealing with duplicate transactions but it seems like every day we experience a new problem. None of them are affecting every user and many times, they magically resolve on their own. The latest issue is that it appears charges don't have to be fully allocated or have a receipt attached to be submitted by the user. We have now created a log to keep track of the issues as they arise. Since they are so frequent, yet not wide-spread, consistent or stable (resolve on their own); the amount of work involved in submitting a support case doesn't seem to make it worth while. Since we can't work in data base view for Expense Management, we have no other option but to continually apologize to our users and tell them to wait a few days to see if the issue resolves itself. The performance of this platform the last 6 weeks makes it very difficult to hold our users to our deadlines.

Still having issues. It comes and goes. We even had it where the invoices would double up. Didn't catch a couple of them in time and over paid a couple of vendors. It went away and came back and then went away again. System is slow as molasses. And a lot of times we can't get in some of the systems. I also have a hard time with some of the attachments on the vendor showing up. There are times when it takes a half hour for the attachments to show up and I know they have them on there they just don't show up after awhile. I can go on for hours about the problems.2 -
@Jennifer Hughes We are still having a ton of issues too! So many duplicate credit card transactions. They've told me it was fixed several times, but it keeps happening.

It seems like there is an revolving door of issues. We had 2 months in a row where 20-30 transactions didn't feed in at all. Our bank took the blame for that one and BB had a very manual process to fix but it worked. It HAS been glitchy lately (duplicates appearing then disappearing, receipt attachments not visible, then magically appearing, jumpiness from one field to another, etc).0
