Omatic Cloud

Hello, I have been using ImportOmatic for some years now and find it to be a useful little tool. This week, I have had an email from my account manager at Omatic wanting to talk about Omatic Cloud. I've had a look at some of the information available online and I suspect that it wouldn't be useful for us. Does anyone here use it? If so, what do you find it useful for?

Hi Steve, I am very familiar with the Omatic Could product. That said, I have not used the version of Omatic that you are today - so I can't do a comparison for you. But I can answer you questions and point you in the right direction at Omatic for who is good to work with, etc.

Thanks Amy, I mainly use ImportOmatic for importing data from various sources, primarily our admissions database which uses Veracross, so the process is to export the data from Veracross then import to RE using ImportOmatic, which simplifies the procedure greatly compared to using RE Import. I don't know whether or how Omatic Cloud might help with this, especially as it integrates with NXT whereas I still work almost exclusively in the database view.

We were forced to move to Omatic Cloud for PostOmatic, because Omatic must have known what was coming down the pipe for the hosting switch to MS Azure cloud.

I can say that it was a pretty smooth change to Omatic Cloud for PostOmatic, and that I have run into no issues in ImportOmatic.

I can also reiterate Amy's sentiment about Omatic in general. I've always found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable about their product and Blackbaud's product.

@Steve Townsend Hello Steve, we are in the process now of converting to Veracross, but we are keeping RE, which means, I need to start implementing Omatic to bridge the 2 databases. I am unsure where to begin. Can you email me at ehall@mountpisgahschool.org so I can ask a few specific questions? That would be very helpful!!!
