Automatically Send Receipt to Donor?

When we process a gift, is there a way to automatically send the donor a receipt via email?

I see the “receipts” array for the
https://api.sky.blackbaud.com/gift/v1/giftbatches/{batch_id}/gifts endpoint, but it isn't clear to me how to use that to send the donor a receipt - the options are “amount” “date” and “status”

If I set the status to “RECEIPTED” will that send the donor a receipt? And which email template will it use if it does send one?
