Bank Reconciliaton Issues

Now it's Bank Rec's. I click on items to show they cleared. I save the recon, I come back into it and the items are now outstanding…but yet the Cleared/Statement balance reflects the items I've previously checked. How am I ever supposed to be able to reconcile with issues like this??? I have started over 3 times now.

Hi Shannon,

Are those items still marked in the bank rec window as to clear them in that bank rec? Or do you mean their status is still reading outstanding? I ask because the bank rec clearning does officially happen in that window until you finish the bank rec. Then those are changed to reconciled when finished. As an alternative, if you clear something in the regular register as “cleared” it should say cleared, and in the bank rec window, come in marked cleared already. Also this is something the bank feeds could help with as well if you're not using them yet.

I am experiencing a similar issue. I like to work on my bank recs once a week; clearing items only, the bank rec is processed once a month. And I am noticing that when up update to go to the next day that previous items marked cleared are outstanding again. I leave, not save, and in the register I can still see the items cleared have a cleared date. Guess it is a nother ticket for support.

To clarify, it seems to remember that an item is marked as cleared when you look in the register, but when you go into the reconciliation screen, the items appear outstanding. If you keep clearing new items, it seems to remember the previous cleared items.

I had the same issue, then I discovered that happened when the items were not posted prior to the Bank Reconciliation. I had a case open and got very frustrated to. Then they suggested that and I have not had a problem since.

I was told yesterday it's known issue affecting others as well and the work around is to do them in the database.?

I also have an open case on this. They seem to think it is from a recent update, as it was not an issue prior to reconciling May in June. It works in the database view. Which is not as clean or easy to use, but it gets the job done. I don't have a fix update as of today. Hope they figure it out before we need to reconcile June in a couple weeks.
