Messages: "infinite scroll" disappears after viewing a message

I have many many messages.

When I go to view Messages (whether Active or Archived), at first I see just the first ~4 screenfuls of message threads, showing just the header and the last message in each thread. I can keep pressing the Page Down key to see all threads (the “infinite scroll” feature).

However, if I click on a message to view the full thread, when I Cancel or click “X” to return to the message list, I am back to seeing just the first 4 screenfuls. I have to press Page Down repeatedly to get back to where I was in the thread list.

I would like my view of threads to not change after I have viewed a thread's details.

    Hey @Donald Payne! That makes sense, and I know you're not the only user with tons and tons of Messages. Will you please add your enhancement request to the Ideas Bank? It's helpful for us to gauge how much of a need exists for requests.

    We Product Managers get an email every time a new Idea is added in the Ideas Bank and every time someone comments on an existing idea. As we look ahead at building the roadmap, we comb through the list of ideas and do our best to close the maximum number of both Ideas and Votes every year. We even compete among products for the highest numbers - winner gets bragging rights ? The Ideas Bank helps us track not only how many people have voted for each thing, but also who to contact if we want more information.

    You may be a pro in the Ideas Bank already, but I wanted to drop a note for anyone who may want to make requests but also might not be familiar with that area. Thanks so much for your help!
