Does anyone else have Community Groups pretending to be Resource Boards?

Am I the only one that wishes that our users from other non-IT departments had a way to easily edit their Resource Boards that took advantage of WYSIWYG editors and the modern SKY UI?

I've started to convert all of our Resource Boards that have actual content contained within them to just be links to open-access Community Groups that have the Bulletin Board and Topics enabled. The Community Group Leaders are the department staff members who are responsible for updating the content. They can easily navigate the page and content editors of Bulletin Boards and Topics over the Content Editor roles that use the old Podium interfaces required for Resource Board editors when you don't wish those users to have editor rights over all Resource Boards for the entire school.

Am I missing another option that would open just specific Resource Boards to certain users without exposing unexpected reports and content by using security roles? When we've tried using Content Editor roles, the users all complain that the interface is difficult to use and is only useable on a laptop or desktop device.
