@Jocelyn Ferland - Consent exists under “Biographical” information in a DBV merge, you will need to select that option in order to merge consent.

  • @Austen Brown thank you! I should have added in my question that I prefer to merge in webview to capture the info that does not merge when merging records in data base view. I tried with two different dupes and the consent info does not show in database view after the webview merge even with all boxes checked in the webview merge. I hope I am explaining this correctly!

@Jocelyn Ferland Unfortunately not ell information is included in a webview merge.

Here is an article about this.

@Jocelyn Ferland - Merging is a two-step process in RE NXT - first merge in Web View and then depending on what's left on the records a second merge is required in Database View. As Marie mentions, not all information is available on a constituent record is able to be merged in Web View - Consent is one of those areas that requires the second merge in Database View.

  • @Jocelyn Ferland we've struggled with this as well - there's an item in the Idea Bank to have Consents added to the Web view Merge tool: RENXT-I-4259

Could be worth voting on? It does seemsa little silly it doesnt work that way already.

While the Knowledgebase article that Marie has mentioned (189569) does help describe the limitations of the various merge tools, it's worth noting that it does not state explicitly that consents arent merged in the web view tool. We had to stumble upon this ourselves, and if we hadnt noticed and taken steps to preserve it, it is very possible for an organisation to lose the consent information when merging.

  • @Alex BishopThorpe thank you, this is a great idea. I appreciate you sharing the link.
