Leaving attendance unlocked?

Hello,

Is there anyway to leave attendance unlocked (even for certain classes)? We use it to record clinical attendance, and sometimes they go back and edit past entries but I have to unlock it manually for them. Would one way be giving them a certain attendance role? Or could it be tied to a class/type of?

I had this option enabled--and read that it lets them edit it for that day of. Would there be anyway to have that be longer? Just wondering for our clinical staff who sometimes go back and correct previous entries--thanks!
