Bimonthly Recurring Gifts and Convert to Automated

We have a donor who wants to give on a bimonthly basis. Since we cannot set up a bimonthly automated recurring gift in NXT, does anyone have any suggestions or work arounds?

Which definition of bimonthly are you wanting to do? Twice a month can be solved easily with two recurring gifts for the different dates. Every other month I'll leave to those with more NXT recurring gift experience. I don't know.?

I will piggy-back off of @JoAnn Strommen's train of thought and suggest three semi-annual recurring gifts, staggered two months apart. This will be a fully autonomous schedule needing no manual editing from you each month. However, it will probably get pulled unnecessarily into whatever process you set up for Mastercard's “6 months or longer” recurring gift notifications.

Your second option is to go ahead and set it up monthly, with a reminder to “skip next transaction” so it doesn't charge on the in-between months.
