Unable to delete assignments

Hi,

Some of our teachers are having difficulty deleting assignments. Besides clearing the grades out, even though it becomes available to check for deletion, they are unable to delete it (can't click on the “Yes, delete for the selected sections”).

What could be a cause for this?

-edit: found it can be deleted from Assignment Center, just not from within the Gradebook

    @Nathan Ong Glad you found where to delete them! Also, please consider sending this one to Support, so they can investigate it to see if it might be a bug.

    @Jess Moxley, my school has the same issues. Blackbaud is aware of teachers not being able to delete assignments in the grade book. However, you can delete assignments in the assignment tab.

    Adding documents to the assignment also only works in the assignment tab, not in the grade book. I started a case so I would be notified when Blackbaud has resolved the issue.

    I just sent a note to our CSM (customer success manager) and asked why things like this aren't published somewhere, like included in the ‘new this week’. It seems to me there has been a lot of time wasted by each of us in dealing with this which could have been saved if we were notified.

    I understand that exposing (publishing) bugs/regressions like this could be a cause for some embarassment to BB, but in the end it would help the customer lots.

    Hey Everyone -

    Correct, this is a defect and the team is actively working on resolving it. It's in their current workload, so we should have a resolution in on of the upcoming releases. If you haven't already, I would suggest reaching out to Support so they can link your case to the issue internally. You'll also receive a notification once the issue is close through your case.

    Apologies for this issue! For the time being, if you need to edit/delete assignment information, it's likely best to do so from the Assignment tab on the class page, instead of via the Gradebook.
