NXT Donations Forms and Venmo/Paypal Question

Hi,

I saw that in a new release on Online Express that Venmo and Paypal are now being offered but your donations forms need to be in NXT, correct? If I create them in NXT does the donation come through Online Express, so I can batch in databaseview?

@Jennifer Branstrom, we make our donation forms in OLX, but Venmo and Paypal are definitely available options. We haven't chosen to use them yet, but the options are there on the forms. The only thing is you have to select the “Blackbaud Checkout” payment setting under each individual form.

Then you also have to enable Paypal in your Merchant Services - Control Panel - Settings and enable the Paypal Commerce Platform. For this you also need to have set up a Paypal business account.

We haven't used NXT forms, so I can't speak to that functionality.

@Jennifer Branstrom - OLX and NXT are separate options donation platforms (You'll find OLX Forms in Database View, and NXT Forms in Web View). You can PayPal/Venmo as payment options on any form that has “Blackbaud Checkout” as an option. With OLX you can choose between Blackbaud Checkout or a Standard Checkout, with NXT your only option is Blackbaud Checkout.

@Austen Brown…really, because I just talked with OLX online support and was told the following…If any donations are made through the NXT donation form, it would go through RENXT batch system instead of OLX's system.

@Jennifer Branstrom, that is correct. If you use NXT forms, you have to link and batch in NXT. One of the reasons we're still using OLX. I think Austen just meant that the Paypal/Venmo payment option is available on both platforms, not just one of them.
