Decline Event Invitation

We create events in NXT, add participants and use that list to create a mailing list for a marketing email invitation. We have the online registration page link in the email and it works really well. Except if people decline. That process is still in the dark ages. Recipient has to reply to the email and say “not coming”, we have to manually update the participant record. Has anyone found a way to take declines via the online form? Thanks!

@Nora Langolf for events where we need to know the declinations, we offer an “attending” and “not attending” ticket type; this still requires us to mark the “non attending” people as do not register (dbview) or NA in NXT view. This is our work around to provide the invited person to easily communicate their response.
