Creating a query using operator "one of"

Hello! I recently learned how to create a query using a “one of” operator and cutting and pasting data such as constituent codes, phone numbers etc. I do know there is a limit as to how many data points you can cut and paste when using the “one of” option. Does anyone know how many records you can query at one time using this option? Below is an example of the type of query I am referring to. Thank you!

For example: Open a spreadsheet . a. Highlight the values. Then CTRL+C to copy the values from the appropriate column. 2.Create a constituent dynamic query. 3.Add criteria: a. Select the appropriate field > select operator one of. b. Scroll down to the bottom of the grid, click in the bottom row of the grid and click CTRL+V to paste the values. •Note: You will not see the values immediately after you paste them. c. Scroll up to the top of the grid to confirm the values display before clicking OK. 4.Add Output to confirm the constituents from the spreadsheet appear. 5.Click Results and save this query.

@Liz Zelazo You can cut and paste 500 at a time - but you can string them along in one query in multiple lines of criteria. I believe that there is a good Knowledgebase article that explains this.

@Liz Zelazo I don't know that there is a limit to the number of times you can add 500 records.

@Liz Zelazo KB article 41666 looks like what you copied in your post. It says you can add repeatedly.

• Up to 500 values can be copied into a filter. If you need more than 500 values, copy the first 500 values and follow the instructions above. Then, copy the next 500 values and repeat the steps again creating a new filter for the same field. Repeat as many times as needed. Use "OR" as the criteria between the filters.
• This function will not work with any field that requires the clicking of binoculars to search for records.

I use the paste list function where I can paste over 10K records. It takes a bit of time but it just puts 500 in each line. I can't recall the name. Maybe smartpaste?

I always double check as frequently top # in Excel file is missing so I just add it at the bottom of the list.
