Restrict assignments to be done in specific order rather than depending on dates

It would be very helpful if assignments could be restricted by another assignment. So, perhaps 2 assignments have the same assigned and due dates, but assignment 1 must be completed before assignment 2. Someone else has posted an idea that is essentially asking for this - would love to see it generate some traction with some votes!
