Last gift data from specific fund

Has anyone figured out how to pull the last (most recent) gift given to a specific fund without creating a smart field for it. I only want one value returned, unless they gave 2 gifts to same fund on same day. That hopefully would be very rare occurence. Thanks!

    Are you looking just for the most recent gift date to a specific fund in a query? That can be done with a constituent query where you include the revenue date in the output, set the date to max in the aggregate option and then from the revenue go to the application folder then to designation to define it to only be to a specific fund.

    Thanks so much for your reply. I was on vacation last week. I tried what you said, and it is still giving me all the gifts that someone gave to a specific fund, although it does give me the most recent gift first in the listing. I set the effective date (revenue date) to MAX.
