Copying Actions without using WorkFlow

Hi all!

I am working on a stewardship plan for our first-time donors that involves many actions to be logged/completed at certain times of the year based on their first gift date. Workflow has proved to be unhelpful and too rigid for what I am looking for.

Is there a way to copy multiple actions at once to a constituent without the specific dates OR with dates based on their first gift? For example, could you copy an action that 4 weeks after first gift date call donor? I have about 13 actions for the first year of giving for each constituent.

The easiest way to do this is to have a template import file ready with all the 13 actions field defined already.

For each constituent, you can update the import file's constituent id field and import. If you have multiple constituents, you have to create multiple of the 13 rows (each row is an action) and each set of 13 will have the constituent.

Creation of this import file becomes easier if you have additional skillset, such as Excel VBA Scripting, Power Query.

If you are on RE NXT, you can even automate this even more (provided you have some developer skillset), where you can have these 13 actions automatically created on the moment a new constituent is added to RE
