Adding author in Actions when adding contact reports

We have support staff that would like to enter contact reports in the NXT web view. They are entering contact reports on behalf of major gift officers, however, the author fields is not available in web view. The contact report entered was defaulted to the support staff name instead which is not accurate. Does anyone know when the Author field is going to be visible/ready to use in NXT web view?

Are you using the Fundraiser field on the action? That may end up being more important than the author in this case.

I'm also a BIG advocate of fundraisers entering their own actions. When they have some ownership in the data, and understand to use RE as a forward-thinking tool and not “a place to record things I've already done”, you'll generally get better info in the database and respect for the data itself. I know there are a lot of factors, but I have never liked the model where data is given to someone else to enter.
