Create a summary report by consitituent

We are new to RE and I'm looking to create a report that gives me a summary of gifts by constituent, for a certain date range and also put a filter on the summary of gift amount (ex only summary of gifts over $1000). I can create it and get it with each gift listed but not a summary by person and filter on that summary. Thanks!

What do you need to do with the report? Regardless, this will be a Query and Export combined.

Do a Constituent Query but look at the bottom for the Summary Information node:

You'll have to account for soft credits in whatever way makes sense for your organization AND for your desired output. But this won't be your end results - Query just finds the constituents for you. Export will give you more refined information and allow you to include household giving. You will need to redefine the Gift Summary in Export, just FYI.
