Hi, this has been talked about for a while now and I would like to know if someone knows if these 2 functionalities exist on webview? If not, sunsetting database view would be a problem

  • Table Cleanup in config
    • This is important so we can “replace” a bad value in transaction code 1 with another value and delete the bad value after (since no transaction will be using the bad value anymore)
  • Querying of raw transaction data

    @Alex Wong when I logged on today, I received a notification about “Total Web Solutions,” yet upon review of the list, A/R wasn't on it. Have they just given up on receivables? If so, DB view obviously can't be trashed…lol

    @Patrick Lunn that notification is about what's happening most recently, currently, and immediately upcoming. Accounts Receivable and tons of other database view features are actively in planning/development. Check out our Product Update Briefing from this past April (another one coming in the fall), and you'll see details on Accounts Receivable and much more discussed and showcased!

    @Alex Wong Great question--I too would like to be assured that the database view is not going away anytime soon. I do EVERYTHING in database view from the time I get to work until the time I leave and have so many complex queries built that give me the EXACT data I want and need to export for mailings/reports, etc. Database allows you to drill down to the very specifics and then also test for errors. Plus, I prefer the dashboards and reports in the database view. If there are plans to phase out functionalities or disable all together, I would hope that we would have a long notice to prepare by trying to mimic all that we need and use into NXT. This could really take quite some time. Having to reinvent the wheel for the way we acknowledge gifts was bad enough when they removed that functionality. VB6 also allows for so much more information to be viewed at one time and multiple windows to be simultaneously open which I feel so many of us have gotten very used to having.
