Enrollment Date on Transcript

Can you bulk change enrollment date to reflect the start of school date. We include Start Date and Expected/Grad date on transcripts. Having an enrollment in March date, can cause issues on the college admissions side and for education verification in years to come.

  • @Lee Matteson Our College Guidance Office just asked me this question! I would be interested to see if we can substitute the enroll date with the first day of school date, so we have both in the system and choose the one we want to use.

  • @Coco Parham Yes!! This is exactly what we need.

@Lee Matteson - You can use the “Enroll Date-Change" import type under the “Student” category to update the enrollment dates in bulk.

  • @Bryan Lorenzo Bryan, thank you. I will forward to our Registrar.

We're having this same discussion with our own configuration. As someone who use to run operations within the Admissions department, “Enroll Date” is when they completed their enrollment (i.e. Sign contract, paid deposit, etc). The start of school is something completely different and should be displayed on the transcript.

If you bulk update the “Enroll Date” to the start of school, how do you track how many students completed their enrollment for each day?

  • @Lee Matteson, we use the enroll date as the 1st day of school and then have the actual enrollment date on the checklist so if we need to check a registration date we just go back and look at when that item was completed. The obvious exceptions are transfers after the 1st day of school. It got to be too much to try and change them all so we've gone to this method and it has worked quite well for us.
