Attendance setup for back-to-back classes with the same teacher

One of our grades this year has the same teacher for all classes in the afternoon. Since students don't switch teachers for back-to-back classes, attendance only needs to be taken for the one of the back-to-back periods. However courses are either set to record or not record attendance generally, and I don't see a way to do this with attendance rules. Any ideas? Here's what the teacher's schedule looks like:

The 5-10 min break in between 4:10-4:15 is still considered back-to-back - the only recess where students actually leave the teacher necessitating an attendance when they return is 2:20-3:30.

These 2 courses are “Language and Social Studies” and "Math & Science", which we've always grouped as such for grading purposes, which has worked when there's rotary teachers necessitating attendance for each class. Here's how the schedule actually looks with the subjects split:

- Stocks/Financial Lit considered part of Math/Science
- English Lit/Spelling same as Lang Arts
- Gym and Brain Challenge don't record attendance

I can solve Friday by making a single 1-2:45 period, but the other days are a problem. Even if I split the Eng/SS and Math/Sci courses (which I'm open to), there's no class that I can change to not record attendance that will allow for a complete attendance schedule. Ex. if Math and SS don't record attendance, that will work for Mon but there won't be any class to record attendance for Tues at 3:30.

Any ideas?
