Please Save my Filters

In School Forms and Contracts (and other places), my filters do not save. Here is a screencast that shows the annoying feature. Breadcrumb trail in the application is used so the application should be smart enough to return to what I was working on. BUT, if that can not be achieved, a very simple change to default the list Active instead of All that would GREATLY reduce the annoying number of clicks it takes to return to the original query of contracts, forms, etc.
