Bank Draft Date

New user here. I recorded a bank draft which was run yesterday. FE recorded today. Is there any way I can change the date for reconciliation purposes?

You'd need to void it , and then re-run it. When running it make sure on the invoice the “scheduled” payment date has the date you want as well as when you're doing the payment run. Also if you're ever paying multiple invoices that have a range of dates with a single bank draft, make sure they all have the same scheduled payment date before the bank draft is created. otherwise, it will go back to the earliest scheduled payment date.

Thanks for filling me in. I don't see any expected payment date on the invoice?

Why isnt the system more flexible, to allow me to set my own dates?

go to the invoice and the “scheduled” date , that's the date you're looking for. The through process with bank drafts is that those are outside bank / wire transfers so the date is agreed upon / executed. While I understand it's logic , it does cause issues like this and gives you more to “worry” about when running the bank draft.

Is Due Date the same as schedule date? I dont see scheduled date.

In webview that should do it. In DB view, while there is a due date, if you look on the payment tab it also has a scheduled date, usually this is same as due date. They may not make that transfer to webview, but I'd make the due date the actual payment date for the bank draft and test it again if you have one to make. And again, if it's multiple invoices with different invoice dates, but 1 bank draft will pay them all, make all their due dates the same.

@Dovid Lando Have you been able to get this to work? Kevin Brazell correctly describes the way the system is supposed to work, but on our system, since the August update, the bank draft date is the current date the bank draft is created. I did open a ticket and the rep did note that the issue was sent to the engineers.
