Action 'Update_gift_receipt_details' failed

When testing the gift acknowledgement letter from WebViewList flow, I encounter an error in the ‘update gift receipt details’ step. Right now, i'm using dynamic content “ID”. I've also tested with a static value as well as a blank value - all which break the flow. The “ID” value that I'm using is working though in the 'update gift acknowledgement details' step. Any suggestions?

Hmm, I thought i have answered one such post/question previously, but maybe I forgot.

The most likely problem is you are using the wrong “ID” dynamic content for updating, it is important you look at the flow RUN and see what ID was used for the action to update gift receipt and if this ID is actually the gift system id.

@Alex Wong / @Brian Riesen I just verified that I am using the system record ID of the gift from the dynamic content, and when I run it I get a BadRequest error. After this error first occurred last week, I put the update gift receipt step into static mode and have been manually marking the gift as receipted just so I can use the major function of the flow.

@Alex Wong I get the error below if I try https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com/gift/113600. If I search for that gift ID in RE, its at the url https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com/gift/page/113600?envid=p-[REDACTED_ENV_ID]&svcid=renxt

Apology, I was missing the /page/ part of the URL.

That is odd then, were you trying to use the Update gift receipt action on a web/api created gift or gift created in dbview?

@Alex Wong Just tested - it looks like it was a gift made in webview that was failing - once I pushed a dbview created gift, the flow ran correctly.

the endpoint should work for RE NXT web/api created gift as well. So it is odd that it doesn't work for web/api. (I create gift using api and use the ID that came back to update receipt info and have no issue). So something you might want to check with the support team.

you can try putting a “delay” into your workflow to ensure gift is “fully” created (not sure what your workflow is).
