Student and Parent View of Gradebook Calculations

Is there any way for students/parents/advisors to see what the calculation method is of a particular class grade book and what weight is given to each assignment type? Any work arounds?

    There isn't a place where parents and students can currently see the calculation itself. They're limited to what is displayed on their respective Progress tabs. If you would like to see this feature sometime in the future, I encourage you to follow the link below to vote on this idea.
