RE NXT Receipts for Canada

Hi Everyone,

We are doing discovery sessions as we plan to generate donation forms from NXT, embedded the forms on our website and once donations received, we get the gifts in NXT batches. How do we issue tax receipts for these donations from NXT as there are limited customize options that do not fulfill CRA regulations. Any suggestions?

@Naila Asif So you want non-charitable tax receipts? Just a record of payment? Could you set up an e-mail response/receipt without the receipt being issued? Our donors first get a response detailing what they gave and then a receipt after the fact. You could leave off the receipt piece.

thanks for your reply. Can we e-receipt these gifts from RE database after just sending the acknowledgment email from NX T?

@Naila Asif Yes, in the e-mail designer it lets you choose your text and what to link so you can clear out the receipt information and have it just be an acknowledgement e-mail and then send the receipt later.

@Kyla Graff Yes, I understand, we can leave off the receipt piece in NXT. I was asking if we could later send the non-charitable tax receipt to donors from database view as E-receipt where we can fulfil the mandatory criteria needed by Canadian Revenue Agency, like our organization charitable number, CRA website address, place of issue etc.

@Naila Asif Hi, I think I'm still not sure what you're looking for. If you want to send Non-charitable tax receipts, I'd recommend speaking with Blackbaud about a custom build.
