Issue with NXT Dashboard Building Tool

Hello Blackbaud Users,

I was hoping for some assistance from those of you that use Raiser's Edge and NXT. Currently, I'm trying to develop a simple dashboard focused on MGO revenue and the amounts within the NXT dashboard do not reflect calculated revenue in database view. When working with chat support, I was told the Report Builder tool as it relates to dashboarding is somewhat new and their is no "one size fits all" solution and that when comparing Insights to export or queries, the numbers won't match because they use different filters and settings. Have any of you had this issue and know of a way to get around it so NXT dashboards match the calculations in database view? Thanks!

@John Whitney - Check in on your “Giving Analysis” settings in Web View (Control Panel > Settings > Giving Analysis - Received Revenue, Committed Revenue and Recognition). From there, an important thing to remember is there is a sync delay between data input and what appears on dashboards, there is usually a 4-6 hour delay.

@John Whitney I echo what @Austen Brown said with checking your settings. You can also review what filters you might have on a given report from database view to be sure your filters in the dashboard analytics mirror it as much as possible. I created many a specific dashboard for my former organization with a lot of success. You just need to keep in mind the delay, for sure, in case they're wanting real-time numbers. Ensuring your filters are as close to the same as possible will be your best option. Having the hyperlinks in the dashboard reports so you can do quick drilldowns is very helpful and can also help you problem-solve any inconsistencies between the dashboard and a query or report from database view.

    Good luck!
